jacking ram
Michael
Michael is a Ground Works Contractor. He had both a safety and productivity problem when it came to digging large holes. Typically holes are dug by making an initial hole, lining the edge with concrete blocks. These blocks sink down a bit further the more concrete blocks are put on top of the existing blocks. It is a lengthy process whereby eventually it sinks down under it's own weight as the hole is dug.
As you can imagine, the existing Rams to push down the concrete blocks are both cumbersome and difficult to move back. This provides difficulty in giving the diggers access required and has underlying potential safety risks.
Michael came to us, explaining the invention he had come up with. We put together the patents which, vitally, enabled them to get the prototypes fabricated. This meant Michael could then have discussions with contractors at a national level for potential lighting and licensing agreements. Again, PatProtect were there as a support mechanism for Michael in these discussions.
We obtained a granted British patent as well as a granted Irish patent.
